Second Division side Airdrie United knocked holders Brechin out of the Bell's Challenge Cup with a goal in the 22nd minute of extra-time.
Brechin took the lead in the 15th minute when Davie White got on the on the end of Kevin Fotheringham's free-kick and blasted into the back of the net from close range.
Airdrie equalised after 35 minutes thanks to David Dunn's spectacular 25-yard drive.
But the visitors were reduced to ten men just before the interval when Jerome Vareille was sent off for an off the ball kick on one of his opponents.
The game looked to be heading for penalties until midfielder Alan Gow stepped in and shot home from ten yards out to send Airdrie into the final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
