Brechin City have striking duo Rory McAllister and David McKenna suspended for the tip to Balmoor.
Several other players could be missing, with Gerry McLauchlan, Paul McLean, Ewan Moyes, Jamie Redman and Mitch Megginson all struggling for fitness.
Peterhead manager John Sheran:"From what I have learned during my time here Rory has been a thorn in Peterhead's side on many occasions.
"They are not a one-man team but the players seem to be very glad that he is not about as it lessons their threat.
"It is a must-win game and hopefully we can secure it and go forward with confidence."
Brechin City manager Jim Weir:"Our squad is simply not big enough to cope with this number of absentees so I have to hope at least three of the doubts can be patched up and put out.
"We are on a bad run just now which is a big concern but hopefully we can put that to a stop at Peterhead."
