Campbell was pleased with his first signing since the transfer window opened in January and said "I am very happy to get Darryl, I am relieved at finally bringing in a new quality player, he is a current international player in good form. Rangers have done well for me, I have spoken to the lad today and he will definitely be on the field today, he will bring a bit of quality to the squad" he added.
However, the new signing, coupled with the return of Stevie Hampshire, will leave City's struggling striker Chris Templeman almost certainly sidelined.
"I have absolutely no idea what is happening,It will not be my decision whether I leave or stay" Templeman said last night. " I am keen to stay with City but if I am not playing then I will have to move on, I would rather be playing every week, but that is not happening" he continued.
Campbell is targetting 6 points out the next two games, against St Mirren and QOS at the Glebe, he said "if we don't win one of the next two games, we are in trouble" said Campbell. "but we want to put a smile on the fans faces again after that 5-1 defeat to Inverness last week-end, and we don't want them to write us off already"
Today, 7 Brechin players were witnessed by a fan (me) jogging in Clerk Street getting ready for the big game, which included Davie White and Chris Templeman, two players who are almost definitely out today.
