East Fife look set to again be without the injured quartet of Stevie Campbell, Jim Hamilton, Robert Sloan and Craig Johnstone at Glebe Park.
The four will all remain on the sidelines as the Fifers look for the win that will keep them on the fringes of the promotion race.
Second-top Brechin must win to prevent Livingston winning the title should the runaway leaders take all three points away to Stenhousemuir.
Brechin City manager Jim Weir: "Livingston are going to win the title and it is only a matter of when, so that does not come into my head when it comes to thinking about why we want to win this game.
"It is more important to me that we keep on winning, so we can secure a play-off place and go into them with some confidence behind us."
East Fife manager John Robertson: "We need three points to hang onto the coat-tails of the leading sides, but also we are not clear of issues at the foot of the table either.
"We will take confidence from the run Airdrie have gone on and, if we can do something like that, we will hopefully be in the mix come the end of the season.
"It will be hard all the same as Brechin have good players and will want to bounce back from losing in midweek."
